#1 - The Loch: A Scottish Fishing RPG
The Loch is a fairly short (1-2hr) role-playing game where you play as Angela, a woman visiting Loch Saor to fish. Along the way, Angela can catch 18 different types of fish, make friends with the people around the loch, explore the loch’s surrounding forests, mountains and caves, and even investigate some mysteries and general weirdness throughout the area!
I made The Loch using RPG Maker VX Ace Lite as part of the 7-Day Fishing Game Jam 2013, and it was one of the most enjoyable times I’ve had developing a game, so I decided to stick with it and continue to work on and expand the game once the Jam had finished. The Loch was finished in its entirety in August 2013. After release, I talked about the process of designing and developing the game over here.

Soul Sacrifice

Spent the last few hours on this little gem and so far I have nothing but praise. Also the online game I joined was flawless. Beautiful art and deep gameplay. A winning combination. Soul Sacrifice

playstation:

Minecraft on PS3

Out now. Go build all the things.

Let’s build all over again.

Games With Gold

Xbox’s equivalent to ps plus misses by a wide margin. Is there any reason why the games with gold can’t be of value?
I’m not saying Halo 3 is a bad game or isn’t of value, but there have been 3 Halo games since the 3rd instalment.

Every month this promotion is disappointing, and the only thing I can assume is that Microsoft doesn’t think it is of importance. People already pay for gold so why waste the fresh games?

Next months big game on ps plus is Borderlands 2. Now that’s an incentive on its own to buy a subscription.

Return to Ostagar

Heroes of Dragon Age has made me return to Origins once again. If you haven’t seen the battle of Ostagar scenes or experienced the landsmeet, have a word with yourself. Now pick up a copy and enjoy.

Heroes of Dragon Age.

Just released on the AppStore. If you have an interest in the Dragon Age universe then this is worth a download. There is a lot of fanfare and history here, and collecting heroes is a little addictive!

It’s free so give it a go! Heroes of Dragon Age.

So it seems the ps4 had sold more units in it’s first 48 hours than the Wii U has sold to date. Can the Wii U rely on Mario and Zelda this year to help them out?

On the Flip side, the 3DS shot holes through the vita, so it’s not all one sided.

Your favourite pistol?

I’m a massive fan of pistols in video games. The handgun in halo, not so much. Take that information any way you like.
